How far in advance should I book my newborn session with you?
The sooner the better! Newborn sessions are best done from the time they leave the hospital, up to 14 days after birth, when babies are still super sleepy and naturally curl into those dreamy poses.
Since babies don’t always arrive right on schedule, and Mother Nature has a mind of her own, I try to be flexible and accommodating. I recommend booking during your second trimester to secure your spot on my calendar.
Can I (or my husband and other children) be in the newborn photos, too?
Mom and Dad can always be in the photos, but unless we are doing an in-home session, I often find that the siblings get a little too excited about your new addition and can disrupt the shoot, so I don’t allow them in the studio.
What if my baby won’t settle?
Don’t worry—that’s completely normal. I create a calm, cozy environment (whether at home or in the studio) and guide the pace around your baby’s needs. Feeding, fussing, or diaper changes are all part of the process, and I handle soothing and posing so you can relax.
